Brace yourselves: here come some words I thought I would never, ever, not even in a grillion billion light years say.
I have taken up running.
It's been a month, four weeks more accurately, since I set out one sunny evening to conquer a gruelling training regime consisting of one minute running, one minute walking, repeat 9 more times. A minute, back then, seemed like FOREVER. Then I upped it a minute or two a week, and I'm up to a massive 7 minutes running, 3 minutes walking x 4. It's torture. According to my regime, I'm supposed to run 20 minutes non-stop this week. I'm petrified.
However, there are benefits. I feel pretty good after the run, you know, the bit where your lungs stop burning and you can see straight?
